Encores! City Center Cancels Upcoming Productions But Opens…

Sadly, New York audiences won't see Tony nominee Ashley Park tap away her troubles as Millie Dillmount in the Lear deBessonet production of Thoroughly Modern Millie this May. New York City Center announced the Encores! production of Millie was canceled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the full Encores! Off-Center season this summer, Dance Theatre of Harlem (Apr 13 – 18), Martha Graham Dance Company (Apr 22 – 26), and City Center On the Move, the community engagement program presented in partnership with NYC Parks Department. To ease us through the hard time, New York City Center has opened its #EncoresArchives on Twitter, posting short video clips daily from some of their most beloved or acclaimed productions.
