This first Friday in February, BroadwayBox celebrates Black History Month, and the black actors and actresses who won Tony Awards for their performances in Broadway musicals. Sadly four winners didn't make the playlist because their albums aren't streaming: Delores Hall in Your Arms Too Short to Box with God, Leilani Jones in Grind, Gretha Boston in the Showboat revival, and Audra in LCT's Carousel. Otherwise, press play and chart black history on Broadway from South Pacific's winner Juanita Hall in 1950 to Hadestown winner André De Shields in 2019.
